New Accountant in Shepton Mallet

Business is never so healthy as when, like a chicken, it must do a certain amount of scratching for what it gets

So here we are! January 2014… New year, new home, new business. Life has never been so exciting!! After a hectic and mildy stressful Christmas and New Year, I am finally up and running in my new role of proprietor of Free Range Business Services – Accountant in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

Massive thanks must go to Dean Biddlecombe of Red Eight Consulting Limited (see associates) who has designed my logo, artwork & stationery, and designed and built my shiny new website. I couldn’t have got to this stage without him and I’m so eternally grateful for all of his help!

I also would like to thank Richard Gigg of Shirlaws Business Coaching for his time and incredibly valuable insight into setting up a new business. I am a very small fish compared to his usual clients and I also know how busy he is so huge thanks for all your support and advice.

So what do I have in store for 2014? Well. My focus is Business Development – for both myself and my clients. We have all been through a difficult few years lately; 2007 – 2013 have been tough economically without any signs of improvement. But… Things are on the up. House prices are starting to rise. Unemployment is slowly falling. GDP is up and even small companies locally are starting to feel that business may be looking brighter.

So now is the time to act and to get organised. The world is very different to how it used to be and most small businesses have been slow to react to the likes of social media, online advertising and social networking. It’s time to put your big boy (or girl) pants on and get your act together!

Sharpen those pencils and warm up those keyboard fingers. Spring 2014 is all about getting your name out there. Getting noticed. Shouting from the rooftops with confidence. You are great at what you do and deserve to be recognised for that!

So let me help you. I’ll take away all the admin and financial trauma for you, so you can concentrate on developing your brand for the future. It’s that simple.

Happy 2014 everyone!
